I think I found another bridge. This one is just into Tarrent County off 360. Its 1000 feet East of 360 and crosses the West Fork. It appears to be a single span iron truss and has no decking but otherwise looks complete. I believe it was a railroad bridge but looks to be of light construction. Theirs what appears to be abandoned right of way on both ends.

I'm listing this one because of its size. About 1/2 mile South of Forreston in Ellis County, South of Waxahachie, parallel to old US 77 is the MKT Railroad Viaduct across Chambers Creek bottoms. It is intact and is about 1/3 mile long. Just south of the Viaduct but hidden in the trees is a Iron Truss Bridge crossing the Main Channel.

Heres another one. This one lies just outside Dallas County in Kaufman County. Scyene Road once went all the way to Forney, Crossing the East Fork of the Trinity just south of the railroad bridge. Its an Iron Bridge that has shed its wood decking. In the early 70s I would take my kids fishing off it. It was long closed then and we had to walk to it but it still had most of its deck. Just south of

I found a picture of the old Westmorland Bridge under the new bridge. Yow will have to work a little to see it. Navigate the map till you have the bridge centered then hit the Bird's Eye button. Click on the letter "W" on the compass. Center the picture again then hit the "+". The railings of the old bridge are clear in the picture - right under the new bridge.

I was last there less than a year ago and could still make out the main North South Runway and the locations of some of the hangers. The location is on the Southwest corner of I-35 and Danieldale road. The small remains of the hangers are down the south side of Danieldale. The runway parallels the Southbound Service Road to the Interstate, Theirs a new road cutting across the runway, which was mad

The building is the old Court House Annex. It predated Old Red and was attached to the previous courthouse, which burned, by an walkway. It was destroyed to build the entrance to the parking garage under the Kennedy Mausoleum (memorial) I have read several accounts of its use. Jail-storage of records-offices.

Jim - I don't live in Dallas - is there any way I can get Dallas Library Card? - My local library does not have access to the DMN archives.

And lets not forget the Aragon Ballroom and Jacks Blue Room - both on Industrial. Also The Longhorn Ballroom - it was a step up I guess - it had name entertainment.

Karen I agree with all that Ralph said. It was a beer bar known as a "pressure cooker". Another well known "pressure cooker" bar was Ma Brands on Samuell. I only went to the It'll Do a few times. One of the times was to buy a mixed drink on the first day mixed drinks were legal in Texas. It'll Do was the first bar in Dallas to get a Mix Drink License.
