Thank you very much.. I knew someone died and left them money, but I was not certain who the person was. I posted another case for him to look into. If you find any information regarding Ruby let me know.
Once again, thank you for your information.

Sorry I was distracted & hit send before it needed to.
I forgot to mention, if her case is still open & $$ are not available, I can contact a few of the dentists we worked with for contributions. The dentist that notified me of her death died in 1989 so she died between 1984 & 1989.
Ruby was a very nice girl. She was a Jehovah's Witness & every year when we received our Th

I have often thought about the children. I remember there were 2 young boys from the neighborhood the couple had befriended. They were convicted, by now they are probably back in jail for something else.
Now another question. I worked in public health @ the Lions Club by the zoo with a young women named Ruby Batee (Batte). She was murdered & I thought lived in the Biscayne Apartments in

Attended W.W. Bushman, Atwell & Carter.
Carter Favorites: Mr. Wells (left school early for job @ dental office) & he taught us how to file a tax return. Mr. George Mount Algebra. The old lady that taught something on the 3rd floor was a hoot. She wanted to know why I did not take her class & I told her I was going to marry a rich man & I would never have use for what she taug

I do not have pictures, but I do have a metal long handled spoon from the kitchen. My friend & I covered every inch of the hotel on one of the last days of liquidating.
The party room on the top floor had a great view & the baby grand was covered in a corner & looked brand new.

age 12 we were out for a "Sunday Drive" & came across the house. We were looking to move & my father thought the house may be for sale. No guns, one of the sisters approached us regarding our business & he explained our needing a new neighborhood. The sister showed us everything (all out buildings) taking us to I 30 where her property ended. You could still smell meat in

My father loaned his camera that made slides to one of his customer's daughter. She was covering the concert for her school newspaper. She lived in the Wynnewood homes behind the back side (behind the now Kroger).
The only name I remember my parents calling her "was one of the Roach girls". If you know one of the girls would you have them contact me. My copies of the photos were

Since you have been around awhile...Do you remember the murder of a couple with a small son & daughter that lived on Ramsey East of Beckley in the 70's. The parents had been dead several days & the children were eating peanut butter & jelly from a jar with their hands.
Do you know what happened to the children? They went with family in Celina?? Later they were given $$ from someo

Dr. Dave Toblowoski @ Wynnewood Professional Building was our doctor. Awesome map on the wall, nurse Miss Allen always dressed in white with her cap & pin. He always made sure he was at your head so you knew he was not the shot giver. His house calls are unheard of now. I sent him a card 10 or 12 years ago & spoke to him since. He has an awesome memory.

A.D. was killed at the new Devils Bowl location. We never returned after his death. Being a young girl, his funeral was the first place I saw a grown man cry. All or most all of his competitor's attended & were the men I noticed crying. I still have an 8 x 10 black & white glossy of A.D. & car owner C.R. Shipley.
I thought family members still ran the business,

The only things I remember about Chester Clinic & Hospital were the 5 cent ice cream sandwich, & my grandfather died their. Years later I would meet a good looking hunk working in nuclear medicine. Went out a couple of times never knew where he ended up.

My mother, grandmother & I were parked in the shopping center across from the park that night. We saw & heard all of the excitement & did not realize the show was over until others were walking back to their cars.

I was telling someone about the Cedar Springs/Oak Lawn location. Building was a 2 story green exterior home converted I think. The candle dripping wine bottles were the best. Even better the awesome ice cream after dinner.

When the house sold I think in the late 70's my mother in law & I went to the estate sale. Of course, not to buy anything just to see the interior. The house looks so big from the street, but only had two bedrooms upstairs. One was pink and of course blue.

Red Bird Lane ran from Polk Street to Hampton Road. My alley was the original Red Bird Lane. Red Bird was routed around the newer homes that ended @ Hampton. Oh my gosh!! The beautiful peacocks living at the big mansion located @ Hampton Road & Camp Wisdom.

Funny you mention Carter was for the rich kids. For the longest I thought my home was the poor house until I grew up. We moved to the Red Bird area from W W Bushman (Scotland & Sunnyvale) area. I tell/told my grandchildren they do not know what a real carnival was.

My attendance @ Bushman was 1960 to 1966. The original Bushman was still standing in 1966. During carnivals & square dances additional benches were stored in the older building & was all I saw come in or out. I would love to have spent 15 minutes of picking time prior to demo day.
My baton lessons were held in the Fruitdale Community Center.
