Rojinks, my Dad's BBQ (Andy's BBQ) was across the street from the Southland Feed Mill which was next to Mosher Steel - next door to the BBQ was Elliott's Hardware - I believe the original one. There was a drug store at the corner several bldgs. down from the BBQ - don't remember the name of it, though, but I know it wasn't Duvall's while the BBQ was there.

J. Dickey, I'm interested in why you called O.L.P.H. Our Little Prison House? When the '56 tornado hit our neighborhood, I was 11 or so and we saw a home on W. Lovers Lane where the family had hidden in an inside closet and just prayed for safety. The tornado took the home and left the closet only on the foundation. I'll never forget that!

On Grove St., did you know the deputy sheriff, Karl Scanlon? Did you know anyone on Egan St (lived there till I was 3 or so)? Did you know the Yowell's? The Todora's? I remember Maria Regan from Ursuline (I graduated from there also) and from OLPH, I believe. Kind of heavy set, long dark hair? I don't remember Lee's Grocery at all. Did you "live" at the Grauwyler Park swimming pool in t

Triumph, do you remember the OLPH girl you mentioned that you walked to school with? Do you remember the stores in the little strip south of Anson and west of Denton - one was a shoe shop and one was an auto repair shop, I know. Do you remember Burk's Dime Store and Love Field Bank? What was right on that strip besides those? Also, was the Airway Theater near Airway Drugs?

I remember Little Bit of Sweden being in Inwood Village across from E. M. Kahn's Dept. Store, I believe. I think one of the Webb's Waffle Shops was on Lemmon a little north of the Tollway crossover now and a little south of the old Prince of Hamburgers.

I know in the 50's and 60's for sure there was one near the Inwood Theatre at Inwood and Lovers Lane. We ate there every week at least once - the food was wonderful!

I would like to see pictures of the doctors (and dentists) who practiced in the Medical Arts Bldg. through the years. Does anyone know if there is a collection of this sort?

Who has memories of the ice skating rink at Fair Park in the 60's. I skated public session there almost every day (seriously) from about 1962-1966 - took private lessons. I knew just about everyone who skated there with any frequency. I have wonderful memories of that rink and the friends I made there. It was a great time in my life - I can still smell the ice in the rink! Anyone skate there that

Does anyone remember a small bbq restaurant named Andy's BBQ on Maple Ave. 2 blocks south of Inwood? Across from a large feed mill and Mosher Steel? That was my father's bbq - we lived on Anson Rd. and I went to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School across from Obadiah Knight for 8 years. I vaguely remember the ice man delivering ice with a 2-pronged hook and the milkman delivering milk. Because of o

Interested in what Love Field was like in these years - I heard there was an ice skating rink there? Also bowling, a movie theater, and an arcade. Does anyone remember any of these?

My dad owned a small BBQ restaurant named "Andy's Cafe " on N. Market St. in 1952. It had school desks and sawdust on the floor. Do you remember going there by any chance?
