Whatever happened to Chastity Fox? Bubbles Cash and
Candy Bar get mentions but she was considered the best dancer. I know she taught belly dancing class @ UTA in the 70 s. She was also in a student play there in 77. Oh and a play at Dallas Theatre Center maybe.
Also Stormy Weather and another stripper who became a preacher who's stage name was Shauna? Shana? Come back Shana, Come back!

I found some old posts under 80 s clubs Greenville.
What years was her club of the same name on NW HWY? She was big time in Dallas and from what I can find in internet land she sang with Bob Hope ( maybe USO?) at a gig in Port Arthur circa 74. Heard she lost her voice. Met her one time at a funeral. Almost famous.
I started researching the old Starck club and went down sidetrack.

Dave thanks. The ratty golf course was Sunset. And the flooding I do remember a killer flood that hit in that area in the 60s. I think I took pictures with a Polaroid ' Swinger' camera I think I got for Christmas. GP was my stomping grounds which is far western Dallas County and partly in Tarrant. When I see remembrances of Dallas Proper it blows my mind cause all I knew of Dallas as a child were

I seem to recall a drive in during the 60 s as I was a wee lad, that had risque fare playing with a high fence around it. Don't look Ethel. It was on old HWY 80 heading West out of Dallas past Loop 12 in the general vicinity of Yellow Belly, North of the Jefferson junk yards. Anybody?

Bob don't know if you still monitor this site but you replied to my inquiry on Bubbles back in 2013! So much time gone by but saw in some later posts, her daughter has a Facebook page on the infamous Bubbly.
U said boarding house west of Western Auto. I have a friend I've met recently who was born in 41 and grew up in GP. Grady is the name. He stayed there and knew Bubbles in her pre infamy day

While it's really Tarrant County on the Arlington GP border; does anyone have memories and/or history of this place that is on GSW PARKWAY ( NOW DIAMOND JIMS) I know it was there in the 7os when I reached legal drinking age but apparently from what little I can gather it was around since circa 1961. An old clip on you tube shows a WFAA reporter covering story about legal liquor by the drink in Ta

Damn,it has been a long time since I've trolled this site.
I was homeless and living in a shelter and in a truck for most of 2018 so checking this for posts fell by the wayside. However I'm happy as a clam I found posts from tiny bubbles the daughter of one Esemay Cash. Bubbles has been of interest to me as I'm from Grand Prairie and also attended Lee Junior High but after the Mighty Bubbles gra

Hello I haven't been on this forum in many Comanche Moons.I just recently did some poking into the Shawnee trail and this is off top of the head so take with a grain of salt.
It passed thru present day Denison and I think was called the Pioneer trail and other names as well. Also used to move freight. At some point it was used as a cattle trail and maybe the most eastern route to the railheads o

Bill's Silver Saddle on the county line in Grand Prairie. Remember in 70's used to swim @ the Clayton House which later became Great Southwest Inn on Division St just across the tracks from the honkey tonks on Jefferson. One day was swimming and this guy sitting near pool was strumming a guitar. Bus parked in lot said " Mysterious Rhinestone Cowboy". He was probably playing the Silver S

Anybody out there know or hear of a dude (gambler, Mafioso) with the name Louis Farentello: aka. 'Chicken Louie'?
Dated my mother back in the day. She knew many of the characters in Dallas when she worked @ the Hotel Adolphus.
She was quite the beauty in the 50's and 60's and was a model for awhile. Did ads for Sangers et al. She was also in an ice show @ the hotel

Hell I know these are old posts but I've been browsing this site and came across the posts on Vicki Britton. I've only met her once maybe in the 2000's @ a gathering for my uncle's funeral unfortunately in Tyler. I did some searching on the internet and I'm quite impressed with her talent. I found some old newspaper clips and some samples of her singing on YOU TUBE. She even made an album recor
