M C's still kicking but he and Linda spend most of their time away - traveling, camping, riding his dual-sport. He does have a number of ongoing research projects and sends home documents and photos on a regular basis
I stay behind and am organizing and cataloging his library and research files. M C and I are cousins but I am not able to get out much.
Pretty sure M C does not post anythin

Your recollections are quite correct re the location of the trestle and "Mountain Creek Interurban Bridge" would seem an erroneous and inappropriate name but since the Texas Historical Marker has already been approved I guess there is no recourse at this point. I haven't checked the references in the 5 page narrative but from a quick reading it appears the name was an AKA (also known a

I don't know if either Oak Cliff or LaReunion cemeteries are open to further burials, but there is more than a geographic or cultural connection. One of Jack Scott's daughters married a LaReunion colonist. He is buried there but she died nine years later and is buried in Irving with several other family members.
My experience with relocation of cemeteries for the Corps of Engineers is that r

I agree, just nonsense and foolishness perpetuated by the gullible but as Alto said, can often have disastrous consequences for the innocent.
The subject was the bane of TV and radio talk shows back on the 80's and 90's.

Addie Barlow Frazier, aka Dixie Leber (Rebel spelled backwards)
Lawrence Brewer of Dallas picks up and returns the Ku Klux Klan hood of Addie Barlow Frazier, organizer of Dallas' first KKK march in more than 60 years. Mrs. Frazier, "Kleagle of the Realm," dropped her hood unknowingly after the Klan's march through downtown Dallas and thanked Brewer for returning it. DMN staff phot

At least they are storm sewers not sanitary sewers, but I think the very early ones served both purposes.
I would suspect that all "mystery tunnels" are utilitarian in origin rather than having been built by or for bootleggers or secret covens. These folks just took advantage of what already existed. Some might have created an alternate access through their own place of business o

What do these three things have in common?
Probably more than you wanted to know.
Long, but worthwhile read.

Ah, Ms Quiett -
I see you've once again edited your postings to delete details that might be embarrassing to you.
For the benefit of those who come upon this thread later I will try to summarize what all the fuss is about.
As best I recall, and please correct me if I am wrong, your original query was re the Clesi Restaurant operation in the Northlake Shopping Center on which you were res

Please let us know what Mr Clesi has to say about the alleged Mafia connections to his family and business.
Vic Clesi Sr's conviction and tenure in federal prison in the 1930s is a matter of public record as are his honorbale service in WWI and his many achievements for the rest of his life.
The arrest of Dawn Quiett is also a matter of public record as would be the dismissal of charges i

Are you just trying to create some mystique or notoriety for promotion purposes?
If you really want the truth why not contact Vick Clesi Jr direct? He is prominent in several Dallas organizations and businesses and you can find his phone and address in the white pages. Better yet, why not just drop by his home and knock on the door and ask him about the Mafia?
You can find Vick Sr at Cal
