Here is an interesting bit of publicity released by H-D following the 1940 TT (Tourist Trophy) race that was held in Dallas on June 30th 1940 and sponsored by the Dallas Motorcycle Club.

Kinda hard to say, exactly. The phone company used larger and larger numbers (and more letters) the more customers it served.
Denton, being smaller than say, Dallas, could get away with less numbers to dial.
I have my grandfathers business card that is pre-WWII (1936-1941) with a Dallas number of T 7 1831. Letter, number and four digits. Around that time I would guess Denton phones coul

Growing up in N Dallas in the 50's, I remember my folks taking me to Lobello's, located on the south side of NW Hwy around Douglas. If my dad somehow won the pick we would usually end up at 'The Rib' on the north side of Lovers Lane at about where the tollway now is.
My family did not have enough to go too often, but when we went to Lobello's I remember I always wanted to play the jukebox.
