ROYAL FERRIS built that town... Royal lane in North dallas is named for him. See him in FAIR PARK.
Built and owned the uglyest and most $$ HOME IN Dallas--- next to the Stonely hotel..
I can take you all these places... FUN. IVY HALL , etc. Royal springs , etc.

There 4 cemeteries in this area. MAXWELL, HORTON , MEXICAN CEMENT, COCHRAN. All 4 super tough
to get to on foot. Others = IRON HILL; EAGLE FORD. etc..I b-long to the VFW # 4477 there off
the freeway 12 & Jefferson. Interesting area. ,, but it is changing fast.

I first thought it was a smoke scrubber or Air scrubber. But no return H2O pool at the bottom. A real M.E. project.
I now like the AUTO-CAR story..

I just finally found the old Vickery CEMETERY. I knew it was there . Found about 1& ONE HALF years ago. Proff
is in the photo maps of 1941; 1950; 1936.
Cemetery is in the Greenville twist, at the steps to nowhere. See the old bulb lights in the tree line, behind the
old picknic grounds-- where the new YMCA building is ? I have list of obits..

I used to work there in the 67-68-69 period. I was an I.E. in Fab. in the FAb shop on the old river bed on HILINE...
Then in the old purse building on Central, then on AP in Richardson.
Our product was PIC 9's and PIC 10's + swamp bugges. Lots of Micro wave tower stuff.

Yes... the grave of Coit is easy to find. Right side, middle back. We placed V.A. brass/ bronze markers-- 24" BY 18" on his grave. Vandels ripped it out. I do have more of the 'stars' CSA, CSN.. if you need or I can tell you where to buy them --- for $35.00.

The old home place is being redone. Cemetery will remain. The old home will turn into the CARUTH
Foundation office--- while a new building to the northwest a few feet will be new SUMMERLEE Foundation
building...
I saw them strip off the outer skin of the old home. Very interesting what was underneath.
The SF is moving from their high rise digs from Toll road / Luther/ Northwest Hwy--

A wonderful post.. Very interesting ! However, I wish someone would point out to me the
location of the VICKERY Cemetery. I see lots of obit's in the old DMNs-- saying they were
buried in the VICKERY CEMETERY.
