Was en route to an accident call, drove by the CREEK BAR and saw about 20 men fighting. Asked for cover and broke up the group.

Cover arrived (A LOT) and we separated them far from one another and I asked what was this all about?

One nearest me replied, "we began arguing over chilli made with no beans or chilli made with beans and I guess it got out of hand."

These were a group, white collar business type to blue collar plumber type that met every evening after work and drank a few beers and played 42.

After all shook hands and realized they were acting like morons, we departed hoping another call would not come out, it didn't.

Great story, Cop! And it comes at a time when the local police chief here in Spokane is complaining that the schools don't allow the police to arrest juveniles frequently enough for minor infractions, rather handling what are technically crimes but not particularly of great moment in house. He wants more police involvement in things like stealing pencils.
