LaReunion Housing Project

Looking for some more information about this housing project that my maternal grandparents
lived in after WW2. I understand it was built circa 1943 to house war plant workers. My grandparents
were retired folks when they lived there.
A decade later they lived off Maple Ave. in another housing project called Cedar Springs Place.

A few recollections and comments about the La Reunion public housing project are in this thread:

It is rather a chaotic thread, with lots of digressions, but some of it might give you some help. I think there is a published history of the Dallas Housing Authority, and that it may be found at the Dallas Public Library.

Many of the photos I've posted over the years no longer have working links. The photos that were hosted by Photobucket may either not be visible or have a large banner watermark.

If you find any you want to see send me an e-mail and will see if I can forward direct.

Found my grandfather's name listed under Prolot Place at LaReunion. .
An eagle-eye cousin spotted the name in the 1947-1948 directory.
