Robert E. Lee Elementary has already been renamed?

Recently, I was looking at Historic Aerials, concentrating on Lower Greenville and the location of Johnny Clemens' Hobby Counter (in the thread "One of the Most Sad Incidents"winking smiley:

[phorum.dallashistory.org]

and today, I still had the tab open in my browser. I was just minding my own business, scrolling in the map there, when I came upon my elementary school alma mater, Robert E. Lee Elementary. But on Historic Aerials, it's now called "Geneva Heights Elementary". So I do a Web search, and see that it has indeed been renamed, the new name taking effect next school year. I know that times change, and that the name change was probably inevitable, but it still makes me a little sad.

Where did the name come from? Was the neighborhood originally called Geneva Heights? Moving around the map, I see that Stonewall Jackson will be called "Mockingbird Elementary School". Gee, how imaginative.
