This last weekend I was at Market Hall. On/in the parking lot, I noticed some rails partially obscured by the asphalt. This area is a little south of Harry Hines. The Dallas-Ft. Worth commuter transit runs close by. I've noticed these tracks before. they've existed for a long time. A definite train track is seen in the floor of the parking garage nearby. It seems this is a long lost spur line going somewhere. If traced, it would go right thru Market Hall. Does anyone have any input? I suspect these tracks date back to the 20s…maybe earlier. Jim

That's it! I graduated H.S. in 1960 and never made it over to the site of the "new" Market Hall. Jim

Those RR tracks crossed over Mockingbird Ln at the city limit of Highland Park. A big "whoopee" as we drove up and over them.
Cotton Belt RR used them.
In High School in the mid Fifties, drove over them a lot.
