The Devil's Back Porch

Last night I had an enjoyable conversation with a couple about Dallas history. They told me stories about an area called the Devil's Back Porch. I searched this forum and didn't turn up any posts so I thought I'd start one.

Nice photos. If you do a search using the "advanced" tool, I think that you'll find quite a lot about Bonnie and Clyde, including their origins in West Dallas. Their having frequented the area and having used Eagle Ford Road as their entry to and escape from Dallas duriing their road years (only two, btw) is also discussed. Whether "Devil's Back Porch" would be named as such in any of the posts, I don't recall. However, there are many books and newspaper accounts that use the term.
