We like women, we like wine, we WERE the class of '69. I was there when W.T. White asses hung a rebel from the flag pole and the school wouldn't us get it down. We had to look all day. But a funny happened the next day over at White's front door, someone, somehow had left a dead cow right in the doorway. I could tell more I'm not sure if the statue-of-limitation has ran out. lol

If I hadn't moved in 1960 I would likely have been TJ class of '69.

Only made it through half of 4th grade at Caillet.

Class of '71...we were still the Rebels then and always will be. Won District championship in football but got crushed by SOC in the Cotton Bowl.

My wife was class of '71 also. And I knew a bunch of you rebels from my Walnut Hill/Cary days! And amazingly enough I still have a TJ keyring that says TJ Rebels with the flag on one side! I am such a packrat!

I didn't attend school at TJ, but had friends who were Rebels. Does anyone remember the designated smoking area outside, back in '73 and '74? Yes, Virginia, once-apon-a time a student could take a Marlboro break in high school.

Bryan Adams had one, too (I somehow know that even tho' I went to Bishop Lynch). Simpler days.

Yes, TJ was just getting going in the mid-50's. Had some real pretty girls. I went to HPHS, graduated June 1956.

Anyone know a "Cookie" Selly or a "Kappy" Selly who attended TJ in the early 60s--possibly the late 50s in Kappy's case?

I didn't know the Selly's but I did know Pam Hale and Kay Blankenship who attended TJ at that time.

My dad was the band director at TJ in the early 70s. Two of my brothers went there too.

I would have been in your class, except we moved to Waco in November of '59. Dexter Marble, Billy Atkinson were two more guys I remember off that team, coached by Archie Porter. He went on to Sam Houston to coach there!

Jim Haller was on that team too, he coached Baylor for a few years - got in trouble about some money for students and resigned! Works for a bank here in Waco now.

I recall seeing the senior musicals there while I went to Cary. The King and I and Carosel.(sp). Really excellent. My brother, now 58, was one of the children in the King of Siam's family. I also recall hearing the bank play the Gilette "Look Sharp" march while I was walking to Cary in the morning. I still get goose bumps. There were some really talented kids there.
