Old Vickery - Park Lane and Greenville

A couple of better images of the "Tower" at Greenville and Glen Lakes Drive (Glen Lakes eventually became Walnut Hill Lane). My mother who recently died at at a little over 100 years old, grew up across the street from the "Tower". Among her paperwork was a letter stating that the original purpose of the "Tower" was as a water holding tank (long gone from the top) which supplied water to a carbide generator which was located inside the "Tower" and provided heating, lighting and cooking gas to the home that was originally near by.
