Hell I know these are old posts but I've been browsing this site and came across the posts on Vicki Britton. I've only met her once maybe in the 2000's @ a gathering for my uncle's funeral unfortunately in Tyler. I did some searching on the internet and I'm quite impressed with her talent. I found some old newspaper clips and some samples of her singing on YOU TUBE. She even made an album recorded @ her club.
She could sing country as well as the blues. Her brother Buddy was married to my cousin Janis from Tyler. Maybe we're cousins in law?
Apparently she played with Bob Hope @ Lamar University in Beaumont and received good notices for her performance. Almost made the BIG TIME. Vicki if you somehow read this post ( I see you left message in 08) I'm Randy the nephew of Anita. Wish I had caught your act and I was haunting Northwest HWY back in the late 70's into the 80's by Bachman Lake. I went to a disco in those days (AFTER THE GOLDRUSH ;EUROPEAN CROSSROADS). Don't know when your club closed. I think my mom went there with my aunt 1 time. Anyway I hope your doing well.
